Every film set is different, and every director brings their own style to set. I always find it intriguing to see the “vibe” of a set, and to think about how it relates to our perception of the director, or their films. Previously, we had a glimpse of Sean Baker’s style during The Florida Project. Today, we get a taste of what it was like to be on the set of Wes Anderson’s Rushmore.

This short behind the scenes doc was shot by Wes’ younger brother, Eric Chase Anderson. While he’s had a few acting gigs, today the younger Anderson is more known for his writing and illustration work. Going into the the doc knowing that an Anderson is at the helm, it’s pretty easy to see some of the same traits found in his brother’s narrative work.

Although this video doesn’t really provide any great directing insight, and probably won’t change the way you work on set, it’s still an interesting look at the making of what many consider a cinematic classic.
